HYW PROTOTYPE WHEEL

A FUNCTIONAL PROTOTYPE

This steering wheel is the first prototype of the HYW project, a piece developed during the initial design phase before the final version.

It is a fully functional unit that retains most of the features of the final model, allowing users to experience the steering wheel concept as it was envisioned in its development.

An opportunity for those who value unique pieces in the world of sim racing.

DESIGN AND MATERIALS

The steering wheel body is manufactured using MJF with a soft-touch black finish, resulting in a light, resistant piece with very precise geometry.

The rear features a 4mm carbon fiber plate, providing structural rigidity to the assembly.

The rim is covered in genuine Alcantara, offering a comfortable grip and a feel very similar to that of steering wheels used in competition.

The steering wheel integrates 20 SimHub-compatible RGB LEDs, allowing vehicle information to be displayed directly while driving.

The 6061 aluminum paddle shifters complete the assembly with a solid actuation and clear mechanical feel.

LPB PROTOTYPE LAB

This unit is one of the first prototypes developed during the design process of the HYW steering wheel.

At LPB, many projects begin as experimental pieces within the workshop, where we test materials, ergonomics, and configurations before reaching a final version.

Some of these units eventually leave the lab to become part of other cockpits.
